"Times Like These"
at times I live in my own little world
away from the noise
sirens blaring outside my window
or in my mind
I go within for refuge
to gain understanding
to get a glimpse of peace
sometimes I stand aside
watching me stand
and then there are times
when silence won't suffice
because I want all the
answers now
and I try to put together
the puzzle
even when the pieces don't
fit
but there are yet other times
like now
when I listen to the rhythmic beating
of my heart
let it soothe my mind my fears
my insecurities
it is at these times I let the pieces
fall where they may
and follow the ancient pounding
of my soul
toward my destiny

You have come to me and I have answered. You have scratched the surface of your existence. Now the real work begins. You are not who you thought you were. And you are learning to see beyond your painful imaginings. Take heart. You are moving along your path, and there will be bumps and bruises. Keep going. Delve deeper. Reveal everything that is in the way of you experiencing and knowing your Truth. Take away its false power. Then, you will begin to get a glimpse of who you are.
