this lifetime
i have strived
to prove myself
worthy
of
what i already have

do you follow me

see, i am saying it

this time thru
i thought the hard way
is the best way
cuz
if i am tough
and struggle thru
if i survive
then maybe
inside i will find

i am worthy
of the Love i already Am

hear me, follow

i am saying

it is never enough.

i have been near death
and still i am alive.
i have tortured self through the
anguish of heartache
yet
still i love.
i have been penniless
and near destruction
and still i
walk the path
of my dreams.
i have seen hope
defeated and betrayed
yet still i always believe.

what is this thing that i am?

if you see or hear or feel or have an inkling

just whisper it to me in my dreams
just

please whisper it to me when
i'm not looking

and maybe then
i can accept
that i am already accepted

and there is nothing
left
for me to earn

my place is kept for me
ready

for an expression i dare not dream
so
